Eng. Inês Nunes

My name is Inês Nunes, and I’m from Santiago do Cacém.

My education at Instituto Superior Técnico involved a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering Sciences and a Master’s degree in Bioengineering and Nanosystems.

As an engineer, I worked in the IT consulting field and conducted research in the area of Nanomedicine, a topic developed in my master’s thesis.

My professional experiences allowed me to live in Italy and Spain, with Lisbon being where I spent the most time.

Curiosity has always been my driving force, and art has always been part of my journey alongside science.

I joined the Theater Group at IST during my academic path, and writing and poetry followed soon after.

Last year, after the completion of a research project, I returned to Portugal and embarked on a sabbatical period, dedicating myself to volunteering, setting aside time for creating and writing. At the moment, I am tutoring students in Exact Sciences from the 5th to the 11th grade.
