Eng. Marta Lopes

My name is Marta Lopes and I started my bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2018 (at that time integrated Master’s). In 2021, I continued to the master’s degree also in Biological Engineering and had the opportunity to do two ERASMUS programs. In the second semester of the first year of my master’s degree, I went to the University of Milan, and in the second half of the second year, to KU Leuven, Belgium. It was there that I conducted my thesis on cultivated meat and gained experience in animal cell culture and tissue engineering. I returned to Portugal in the summer, wrote my thesis and presented it in November last year.
