João Ribeiro is a passionate Bioengineer whose drive stems from a deep commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation. With the recent completion of his Master’s degree by the University of Porto, João has gained a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of his field, ready to apply this knowledge to real-world challenges. His focus on cardiovascular research has served as a constant source of inspiration, propelling him forward with enthusiasm to contribute to solutions that can make a tangible difference in patients’ lives. João thrives on collaboration, firmly believing that impactful breakthroughs are achieved through the collective efforts of dedicated teams. Highlighting his scientific background, he was invited to give a TEDx Talk where he explored the scientist as a unanimous being beyond science.

Moreover, João harbors an interest in AI and Machine Learning, recognizing their potential to revolutionize healthcare. His passion for these technologies fuels his desire to explore their integration into the field of Bioengineering, with the ultimate goal of optimizing healthcare solutions and enhancing patient care. He is now launching a startup called “Braining” to improve stroke rehabilitation using AI and VR. With a background in Bioengineering and a passion for technology, he aims to enhance the recovery process for stroke survivors.
