    Multidisciplinary designer, scientist and professor at ULisboa, combining strong research, analysis, and experimental approach skills. Interested in real or speculative projects that spark innovation or question the role of the concept and its perception, driving Design and the sustainable imperative forward.
    Mainly focused on the development of products and/or processes following Nature’s rationale (local, light, efficient, balance aware, minimum energy, zero waste). Scientific dissemination includes a body of work on practices around sustainable design aspects and the application of the Biological sciences (e.g. microorganisms) as well as the Circular (Bio)Economy model to rethink materials. All subjects, relating to Responsible Design, are discussed through 3 main perspectives: Sustainability Strategies, Science & Technology and Social Innovation/Wellbeing.
