Francisco Gírio, PhD, is Principal Researcher and Head of Bioenergy and Biorefineries Unit of LNEG-National Laboratory of Energy and Geology, Lisbon, Portugal since 2010.

He is also President of the CoLAB BIOREF (Laboratório Colaborativo para as Biorrefinarias).

He did publish over than 100 scientific papers and more than 200 papers and lectures in international conferences.
