Dr. Clara Leandro

She holds a degree in Biology, a master’s degree in Medical Parasitology, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology. Over the past 18 years, she has been actively working at Technophage SA, where she serves as the Scientific Director, responsible for the company’s scientific strategy and innovation. With authorship of 32 scientific publications and 5 patents, she has also delivered several oral presentations at international conferences. Additionally, she collaborates with the University of Lisbon in teaching activities within the field of bio-pharmaceutical development. Her expertise includes researching new antimicrobial products, particularly therapies based on bacteriophages, and conducting pre-clinical efficacy studies. Her knowledge in the field of bacteriophages led to her inclusion in the Safety Review Committees for Phase I and II clinical trials of Technophage’s most advanced bacteriophage products.
