    Biomedical Engineer
    Former top-level rowing athlete, initially student of IST in Mechanical Engineering but then ended up changing and taking Biomedical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering of UCP. Pedro Costa did his Master’s thesis at University College London in 2012, addressing the theme of Electro Functional Stimulation in the rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries.
    Pedro Costa is pleased to be working in the biomedical field since 2014, in Neuro-Modulation, at the largest medical device company in the world (Medtronic), specifically in the area of ​​Neuro Stimulation for Chronic Pain Treatment and Intra-Infusion Infusion Systems.
    In the last years, Pedro Costa has had contact with students of the (1st Sem) 5th year of Biomedical Engineering through the class on “Pain and Electricity”, taught in collaboration with Pain Unit of Santa Maria Hospital.
    As a passionate and curious person, Pedro Costa is available for any conversation about the biomedical world or to clarify other subjects that may be convenient.
