Dr. Domingues Henrique
Domingos Henrique has a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Instituto Gulbenkian da Ciência (IGC) and two postdoctoral fellows one of them at the Cancer Research UK and the other one at the National institute for Medical Research (London). In 1997, whilst at the IGC, Dr. Domingos Henrique was awarded with the Gulbenkian Ciência prize. He is currently an investigator at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa and has been a group leader at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (iMM) in Lisbon. The research area of his group at iMM is “Stem cells and neurogenesis” and, as a research group leader, Dr. Domingos Henrique supervises a team of scientists (6 postdoctoral fellows, 2 Ph.D. students) and supporting staff (1 technical assistant) being that 4 PhD students have already finished their thesis under his supervision and are now post-docs in other labs. Dr. Domingos Henrique has 49 papers published in international journalsand is currently the coordinator of two projects in his area of research, namely: “The dialetics of “Stemness”: from biology to mathematics” and “The V2 domain of the spinal cord as a model to study neuronal fate decisions”.
