PharmD, António Teixeira Rodrigues PhD. Researcher in the fields of Epidemiology, Public Health and Health Economics.

Currently serving as Director of the Centre for Health Evaluation and Research (CEFAR/ANF).

My research focuses on the characterization of population health and its clinical, social and economic determinants. Also, I’m working on the design, implementation and evaluation of public health interventions aiming to improve disease control and quality of life. Currently, I’m also part of HiCorr project, where we use big data and epidemiological models to anticipate and predict influenza and other respiratory epidemics.

I’m collaborating with research centres, as ISAMB (Instituto de Saúde Ambiental, Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon) or ISBE (Institute for Evidence-Based Medicine, University of Lisbon).

I’m the author of several publications in scientific journals and conferences and invited reviewer of peer-review journals. I’m judge member of the Best Publication in Epidemiology Award, of the Portuguese Association of Epidemiology (2020); I was on the team awarded with the prize in Clinical Epidemiology by the Sociedade de Ciências Médicas de Lisboa/ MSD (6th edition). I’m also serving as a guest lecturer in seminars about Public Health, Health Economics and Pharmacology.
