André Osório Falcão is an assistant professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He has a degree and a PhD in Forest Engineering from the University of Lisbon. In 2004 he finished his second master’s degree in Computer Science from the New University of Lisbon in Almada. Currently, he is doing research in data mining and machine learning for biological systems in bioinformatics and chemoinformatics. André Falcão has extensive experience in machine learning, meta-heuristics for combinatorial optimization, decision support systems design and information visualization.
